Webinar: "I have no time!"- Supporting the Integration of Tobacco Interventions into Acute Care Settings

The Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario (RNAO) invites nurses, other health-care providers, and students to attend a FREE knowledge exchange webinar to learn about tobacco interventions in acute care settings.

Title:  "I have no time!"- Supporting the Integration of Tobacco Interventions into Acute Care Settings

Date: Tuesday, October 3, 2017 12:00-1:00pm ET

During this webinar, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Review the impacts of the Smoke-Free Ontario legislation
  • Identify guideline recommendations that support tobacco interventions within an acute care setting
  • Explore the positive influence of smoke-free hospitals on patient and population health outcomes

Effective January 1st, 2018 all hospitals and psychiatric facilities in Ontario are required to be entirely smoke-free. Many organizations have already begun the transition to incorporate this legislation into their hospital policies.  In this webinar we will discuss how this legislation will impact on patient care, and we will provide nurses and other health-care providers who work in acute care settings with the tools to support their patients who use tobacco.

Presenter: Nicole Jeffery RN, MN
