“Choose to Care” Conference hosted by the New Brunswick Occupational Health Nurses Group

In the Fall of 2017, the New Brunswick Occupational Health Nurses Group will host a conference for health and wellness professionals, as well as members of the Canadian Occupational Health Nurses Association - Association Canadienne DesInfirmieres et infirmiers en Santé du Travail from across the country. The conference will be held at the Four Points Sheraton in Moncton, New Brunswick on September 26th and 27th, 2017. The theme is “Choose to Care”.

The purpose of this conference is to provide attendees with information and practical tools to empower them to assist employees in the areas of addictions and mental health, policy development for medical marijuana in the workplace, dealing with loss/grief, working with employees with PTSD, workers with chronic pain and more. This conference will be valuable and informative to all persons working to enhance employee health and wellness.

The keynote speaker is Barb Butler, she will be providing an update on the challenges of marijuana in the workplace, as well as developing and implementing an alcohol and drug policy which will include legal obligations, key policy components, testing, and communication.
