Resources for the Development and Implementation of Smoke-Free Policies on Post-Secondary Campuses

The New Brunswick Anti-Tobacco Coalition(NBATC) was delighted to present webinars this past October sharing best practices and providing guidance to post-secondary institutions in New Brunswick who are interested in the development and implementation of a comprehensive smoke-free campus policy.

Despite the relative decline of smoking rates in Canada, smoking among young adults aged 20-24 remains high. Policies for 100% smoke-free campuses not only provide protection from second-hand smoke, but also discourage tobacco and cannabis use among young people.

Links to the recordings for our webinars in English and French on this topic as well as additional resources that can guide campuses in the development of smoke-free policies are now available on the NBATC website's Colleges and Universities page.
