Canadian Community Health Survey Results for 2017 Released

 

Statistics Canada's Health Fact Sheet on Smokingshows a decrease in smoking rates across the country from 16.9% to 16.2%. The proportion of Canadians aged 12 and older who smoke either daily or occasionally declined between 2015 and 2017 (17.7%, 16.2%). Among the sexes, the proportion who smoke daily or occasionally is higher among males (19.1%) than females (13.4%).
